Fall Workshops and Seminars
In Partnership with Suzanne Chate Coaching and
Guest Speakers Steven Wiffen and Shannon Row-Ewing
Waterloo, ON
Elizabeth was thrilled to be back and hosting another round of her informative seminars. Suzanne Chate was back to inspire another group of clients to challenge themselves, and think outside the box of what a typical retirement looks like. She lead the group to find purpose beyond a regular work day, and empowered us with ideas and concepts to create a retirement that is not only rewarding but filled with personal purpose.
Elizabeth shared informative information about tailoring a financial picture to suit individual needs. She also answered everyone's favorite question "How much do I need to retire?" The answer is not what most people think. If you would like to find out more about the Retirement workshops, feel free to reach out at any time to book your appointment with Elizabeth.
Estate and Trust Workshop
Shannon Row-Ewing and Steve Wiffen also joined Elizabeth for both a virtual, and in-person information session. Two of our most popular speakers returned to educate and advise on navigating the world of estates, and trusts. It was an informative evening going over examples on how to avoid potential hiccups, simplifying, and as well as, discussing more complex needs.

Transition to Retirement Workshop
With Life Coach Suzanne Chate
Uptown Waterloo
May 2024
Elizabeth was thrilled to host another exciting spring event for her clients in Uptown Waterloo. She partnered with Suzanne Chate Coaching to offer her clients a unique, and thought provoking workshop about life after retirement.
Participants were encouraged to think about creating the life the want to lead after work, and search for what defines them.
Many topics of interest were covered such as "Turning Assets into Equity", budgeting and exploring expenses. As well as, pension splitting, emergency plans, and utilizing financial products that can help maximize retirement. Elizabeth is a firm believer in a personalized approach for each and every clients retirement, as each retirement comes with its very own set of priorities, complexities and goals.
Suzanne spoke about learning to lean in and navigate the life you want to lead, as well as having purpose, a sense of belonging, all while keeping social networks strong. She also spoke of looking at your retirement as a complete picture, both financially and personally. The group followed Suzanne's advice on creating an "Experience List" vs. a traditional "Bucket List" . Suzanne's research has shown that this gives her clients a sense of accomplishment and purpose to their day. In addition, little experiences can offer a deeper sense of fulfillment in between the larger trips, purchases, and legacy building that many client strive for in this part of life.
A huge thanks to all who joined us for this special evening, including a special guest, local author Pamela Clayfield, who also spoke about the importance of finding a passion and creative outlet in these incredible years. Each participant went home with a carefully chosen selection from Pamela's collection of work to enjoy over the summer and in retirement.
Elizabeth has many exciting and informative collaborations to come in the following months. If you would like to be added to our newsletter and event list, please email Elizabeth's assistant. Contact Jessica.Labelle@rbc.com for more information.
